Welcome Address from the Head of Department

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Quantity Surveying, a department committed to academic excellence through developing innovative, highly skilled and ethically grounded graduates equipped to meet the demands of the evolving construction industry locally, nationally and globally.

Quantity Surveying plays a critical role in the planning, management, and successful delivery of construction projects effectively and efficiently, ensuring value for money expended. The department is dedicated to providing a rigorous academic curriculum that blends theoretical knowledge with practical application, ensuring that the students acquire the technical competence, ethical grounding, and innovative mindset required in today’s dynamic construction sector. Our programmes are delivered by experienced and highly qualified academic staff who are actively engaged in research, consultancy, and professional practice in a serene environment friendly to Learning, Teaching and Research. Our teaching and researches remain current, industry-focused, and aligned with national and international best practices. We also maintain strong links with professional bodies and industry partners, creating opportunities for industrial training, mentorship, and career development for our students.
