Joshua Oluwasuji DADA BSc., MSc., PhD (Ife), MNIQS, RQS
Prof. Dada is a registered quantity surveyor and a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors. He graduated in 1997 with BSc. (Hons) in Quantity Surveying from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. Before commencing his academic career, he worked briefly as a Quantity Surveyor on some building projects before joining the staff of the Department of Quantity Surveying at Obafemi Awolowo University in 1999 as a Graduate Assistant. He bagged his PhD in Quantity Surveying in 2012. He rose through the ranks to become a Professor of Quantity Surveying and Construction Project Management in 2018. His major research interest is in competence of quantity surveyors, professional practice, risk management in construction, building information modelling and gender issues in construction. He has published widely in reputable national and international journals and has presented papers in different workshops and conferences both locally and internationally. As a registered professional, he is actively involved in professional consultancy. He has been involved in the construction of many projects in the public and private settings in Nigeria. The experience garner in his professional career has really helped and assisted in his teaching and academic career.
Prof. Dada has served in various leadership capacities within the quantity surveying and allied construction associations locally, nationally and internationally. He is currently serving as a member of the 10th Board of the Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria and the Education, Research and Training Board of the Africa Association of Quantity Surveyors.
